Wide Asleep and I'm Groovin'

So it's been two weeks since my last podcast. Didja miss me? Haha, well if you did, I'm back in half-bloom. This podcast isn't as long as some of my past ones, but I think 7 songs is a good amount, and I guess I've found that the shorter they are, the easier they are to find time to listen to. That's not to say that they'll get shorter than this, or even that they won't be really long again. It's just something I discovered in my podcast-capades.

Recently I've missed Post-Radio Podstop, since he hasn't had a podcast since mid-September. Check it out though, it's always a chillin' blend of music. :)

So all that being said, here's my line-up for the week:

00:00 - 04:02 Franz Ferdinand - Dark of the Matinee
04:03 - 07:39 Jamie Cullum and Katie Melua - Love Cats (Cure cover)
07:40 - 10:25 The Weakerthans - Reconstruction Site
10:26 - 14:47 Jazon Mraz - Clockwatching
14:48 - 17:45 Bandi Carlile - Closer to You
17:46 - 21:17 Rhett Miller - Our Love
21:18 - 24:58 Asian Kung-Fu Generation - Jihei Tansaku

I would worry about getting in trouble for this podcast because of all of the more mainstream music, but not enough people listen to it for anything to matter. Thus, I am just not going to worry.

Hope you enjoyed! :)

Wide Asleep and It's Fall

This podcast starts upbeat and goes down into some mellow jive. It's sortof an assortment of songs I've listened to this week and just gone "damn that was good, I'll put it on my podcast." Isn't that how it mostly goes anyway? haha. So this is it for this week, a bit shorter than the others, but they're getting perhaps a little TOO long? I think this is a good length. Otherwise you have to have a long long stretch of time to listen. Once again, no talking since I didn't have time. Ah well, enjoy!

Wide Asleep and It's Fall

00:00 - 02:29 The Futureheads - Decent Days & Nights
02:30 - 06:19 Leo Kottke & Mike Gordon - Clone
07:20 - 11:40 Ray LaMontagne - Jolene
11:41 - 14:13 Pedro the Lion - Big Trucks
14:14 - 18:00 K.D. Lang - Miss Chatelaine
18:01 - 23:20 Ryan Adams - Easy Plateau
23:21 - 27:14 Over the Rhine - Mary's Waltz
27:14 - 32:44 Laura Veirs - Special Someones
32:45 - 36:55 Jamie Cullum - Singin' In The Rain

Hope it was enjoyable. Not sure if there will be one for next weekend, though I doubt it. My boyfriend is coming to visit me and I'm sure we'll be "oot and aboot" and not sitting around in front of the computer. Check the next week, though!

Wide Asleep and I'm Dreaming in Japanese

So this podcast is entirely made up of Japanese music. It's some really great stuff, a little bit of jazz, a little bit of electronica, a little bit of rock, some other stuff. You don't have to know a language to love it's music, and this is definitely one of those cases. I don't talk in this one, mostly because I didn't have time this week. Upon retrospect though, I should have done an intro in Japanese. I can't go back and re-do it now though. Maybe another time. Instead, you can have this:

Ninhongo no ongaku ga suki desu yo! Ii kikimasu. Arigatou gozaimasu.

Wide Asleep and I'm Purple

This will be an interesting show. It's mostly composed of a mix of new and old music (not in the sense that it's old by date, but in the sense that I've listened to it for a long time). I'm loving the comments that everyone is leaving me - whether by e-mail or on this site. It's helping me out and I'm glad to know that people are really listening. So let's get started!

This podcast isn't put together as well as the last one. Forgive me. Last week I worked on it all week, and this week I only had friday and today. Forgive the little parts where the endings cut off, and my slip up with placing my second commentary in the wrong spot. I swear I thought I fixed that. Oh well. I hope you like this for the music. Please leave comments. Love <3
